Biography

Geneva (“Eva”) Sedgwick has over 20 years of experience in higher education, excelling as both a faculty member and in administrative leadership. Her research focuses on human rights issues in technology/AI, employee relations, and consumer protection. Recognized nationally for her innovative teaching, she has designed online courses in law and ethics in business analytics for 新澳门六合彩开奖结果 and Microsoft’s EDx (now LinkedIn Learning) platform. She has also gained recognition for her scholarly work in employee privacy law and social entrepreneurship, with publications in journals like the Stanford Technology Law Review and the American Business Law Journal.

In her leadership roles at 新澳门六合彩开奖结果, Professor Sedgwick served as the Director of University Summer Programs (2017-2020), overseeing undergraduate summer enrollment and pre-collegiate immersions, including a transition program for students from under-represented communities. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Albers MBA in Sport and Entertainment Management. In this role, she has:

  • Developed a strategic vision and curriculum for both in-person and asynchronous modalities.
  • Successfully aligned the program’s goals with the university’s DEIB mission, actively recruiting first-generation students, veterans, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other diverse student populations.
  • Expanded community engagement opportunities and strengthened ties with industry partners to provide high-value internships, job placements, and mentorship programs.
  • Increased enrollment while fostering academic excellence, leading the program to higher visibility and rankings.
  • Encouraged and promoted faculty research, community engagement, and scholarship to the advisory board, partners, and publicly via social media channels.

Professor Sedgwick holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boston College, a JD from Villanova University School of Law, and an LL.M in International Law from New York University School of Law.
