Biography
Dr. Rolita Flores Ezeonu has over 25 years of experience in the community and technical college system. Currently, Dr. Ezeonu is the Vice President of Instruction at Green River College. She served as the Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Instruction for Transfer and Pre-College Education at Highline College from 2008 to 2018. Prior to her administrative leadership roles, Dr. Ezeonu served as both an adjunct and tenured faculty member in Communication Studies from 1998 to 2008. She has taught as adjunct faculty for 新澳门六合彩开奖结果’s College of Education since 2013.
Dr. Ezeonu’s experience with social justice and equity runs deep. Her community work includes partnerships and collaboration with local school districts, community-based organizations, business, religious organizations, and industry that serve incumbent workers, low-income, out-of-school youth, immigrant and refugee populations, and students of color. Dr. Ezeonu has experiences with union negotiations, led accreditation teams, is a peer reviewer for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and has been a part of doctoral dissertation committees.
Dr. Ezeonu earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in community colleges from 新澳门六合彩开奖结果, a Master of Arts degree in Communication from Washington State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication/Public Relations from Washington State University. She also holds a certificate in “Closing the Achievement Gap” from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She co-authored, “Providing Equitable Education as a Daily Call to Action.” She received the 2023 新澳门六合彩开奖结果 Alumni Professional Achievement Award and was part of the 2022-2023 Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship.
She is married with two adult children and an English Labrador.
