Biography

Marya Cotten Gould is a professor, lawyer, and writer. Prior to moving back to 新澳门六合彩开奖结果 and teaching at 新澳门六合彩开奖结果, Professor Gould was an assistant professor at Baruch College – City University of New York where she taught a variety of business law classes and was the recipient of a Zicklin School of Business Teaching Excellence Award. Professor Gould’s research centers on her belief that ethical, sustainable, and innovative business can generate positive social and environmental change. She has published articles about the legal and business challenges of social enterprise, the power of cross-sector partnerships between corporations and nonprofit organizations, and green building policy. Professor Gould is also the lead author of Citizen City, a book about the incredible potential of cross-sector partnerships among private developers, nonprofits, and various levels of government to harness the wealth created in the real estate development process to meet the needs of the community’s most vulnerable members, provide affordable housing, and create community amenities. Prior to teaching, Professor Gould was the Vice President for Acquisitions at the Hudson Yards Development Corporation, a non-profit set up by the Bloomberg administration to implement and manage a multi-billion dollar economic and real estate development project on the far west side of Manhattan. She also has eight years of experience as a real estate and corporate attorney, most recently at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York City. She is a member of the bar in Washington, as well as a LEED accredited professional and trained mediator.
